Supply Chain Analyst

Full-Time

The Supply Chain Analyst’s primary functions include managing product inventory, material quoting, and logistics of shipments and finished goods to ensure project timeliness, customer satisfaction, quality adherence, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment. The Supply Chain Analyst will exhibit a strong aptitude for engaging and communicating with suppliers, customers, and Technical Client Managers ensuring project component pricing, lead times, and on-time shipments. The Supply Chain Analyst will oversee all aspects of inventory, quoting, and logistics processes for successful production planning. 

Essential Functions:

  • Create and maintain material consumption forecast and purchasing plans based on master production schedules. 
  • Manage all aspects of material quoting and logistics. Relevant tasks include obtaining material quotes, overseeing shipment of materials, and finished goods, answering supplier questions, and ensuring suppliers are adhering to timelines. 
  • Manage supplier assessment and qualification and the development of supplier quality agreements. Develop a strong business relationship with suppliers to ensure continued success of process.   
  • Review, create, and maintain product inventory tracking documents; maintain approved supplier documents; oversee receipt of supplier documentation (COA, COC, etc.). 
  • Oversee inventory by keeping a detailed database of available inventory and expected usage per project. Utilize physical counts, purchase orders, completed fab orders, and other means to ensure accurate inventory values. 
  • Manage and monitor shipment logistics to ensure timelines are met. Seek out the most cost-efficient shipment procedures and methods. 
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. 

Position Requirements:

  • A degree in logistics or business administration (or a related field) is preferred, or a combination of practical and on-the-job experience in the packaging or logistics industry is required.  
  • Preferred experience: Supply chain/project management experience in the Medical Device packaging field with history of success engaging with customers and suppliers.  
  • Demonstrated experience working within FDA-regulated quality systems and strong knowledge of QSR requirements.  
  • Thorough understanding of technical product drawings, common logistic terminology, best logistic practices, quoting processes, etc.  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • Well-developed written, oral, interpersonal, and negotiation skills for conversing with vendors and clients. 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
